Our esteemed President holds postgraduate degrees in Social Work and Public Administration, and brings with him over 15 years of dedicated service with Society of Diakonia Incorporated, alongside 25 years of distinguished government service in the Department of Women Development and Child Welfare, serving in roles from the district to the state level.
With a visionary approach and deep-rooted commitment to social transformation, he has played a pivotal role in designing and leading numerous community-based initiatives through our organisation. These include community health care programmes, health camps, and income-generating projects for tribal and fishing communities, aimed at creating sustainable livelihoods and improving overall well-being.
His leadership has steered impactful projects in adult literacy, non-formal education for children, social animator training, skill development, and women empowerment programmes, while also overseeing the operations of a child care center within our NGO premises.
During his government tenure, he was instrumental in the successful implementation of key national ICDS schemes such as the Nutrition Programme, Immunisation Drives, Health Check-ups, Referral Services, and Pre-School Education, combining health and early childhood education for holistic development.
Under the Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS), he led critical interventions including the Adolescent Girls Scheme, prevention of child marriages, addressing beggary, anti-human trafficking operations, and the establishment of One Stop Centres & Swadhar Homes for girls and women facing adversity. His efforts also extended to enforcing the Domestic Violence Act and promoting ethical adoption services.
With a legacy built on compassion, experience, and systemic change, our President continues to be a pillar of strength and guidance, shaping the mission and vision of Society of Diakonia Incorporated towards inclusive, just, and empowered communities.
